JULIE LINDHOLM
Executive Director
julie@wellnessplacewenatchee.org
Julie has worked for over 10 years in the nonprofit industry, including several of those years working at a nonprofit consulting firm as a Special Projects Director. She has worked for notable nonprofits such as Washington Winegrowers Association, Washington Wine Industry Foundation, Planning Association of Washington, Columbia Basin Development League, Alatheia Therapeutic Riding Center and more.
She has a vast set of skills and experience including nonprofit management, fundraising, donor procurement and management, leadership, marketing, public relations, and large gala/auction planning and execution. For over 11 years she has been a free-lance graphic and website designer, and loves to flex her creative mind whenever possible.
Her journey with Wellness Place started in 2014 on a limited contractual basis before accepting the Executive Director position in August 2019. Julie helped her parents through their cancer battles for nearly 12 years, so she understands the cancer journey all too well and is passionate about helping all of our North Central Washington cancer warriors. Ultimately her parents have both passed, but she says "I helped my mom and dad through five different cancers on six different occurrences, so I have a deep understanding from the point of view of the patient, the caretaker and loved ones. I truly believe my parents would be proud of me today for helping others with my knowledge and experience, because not one should fight alone."
Megan Kovanen, board vice-president has said, “The Wellness Place has had a rich history of service to our community's most vulnerable members, our cancer patients. This history and future is under Julie’s philanthropic vision and thoughtful hands. We are thrilled that Julie has joined in this effort and will be at the helm as we expand our breadth of service and as our community oncology needs continually grow.”
