How It Works
Who can use these services?
Cancer warriors, survivors, and caregivers residing in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, or Okanogan County can become a Wellness Place client and utilize our services.
How much does it cost to use these services?
Wellness Place services are 100% free to Wellness Place clients.
How does one become a Wellness Place client?
Simply fill out a referral form! This may be submitted by the prospective client, their caregiver, or a member of their care team. Once submitted, the Wellness Place will confirm with the patient and/or care team to confirm they meet our qualifications. This contact may occur annually or as needed to maintain the client's status.
How many times can these services be utilized?
Clients can use certain Wellness Place services (gas cards, wigs, and protein shakes) up to their balance of $200-$250. This balance is set upon becoming a new client and renews annually. Each gas card, wig, and protein shake count as $50 towards this balance. For example, a new client may get 4-5 gas cards (depending on their limit) in one year; or perhaps 1 wig + 1 protein shake + 2-3 gas cards in one year (depending on their limit).
All other services, including protein shake samples, are free whenever needed and do not count against a client's balance. Comfort Care Kits are limited to one per client. Clients are limited to 3 head coverings and 2 wigs per year.
What is a client's starting balance?
Clients residing withing a 20-mile radius of Wenatchee start with a balance of $200. Clients outside of a 20-mile radius or in Palliative care start with a balance of $250. Balances are renewed annually. To confirm a balance, contact us.
How can a client get the items they need?
While we always like to meet our clients in-person, we also offer to mail requested items to your home or deliver them to your doctor to pick-up at your next appointment.
