NON-PROFIT OF YEAR NOMINEE
WELLNESS PLACE EMBRACES COMMUNITY SUPPORT FOR CANCER
On Thursday, March 5th Wellness Place proudly received recognition, in front of a sold out crowd, as one of the nominees for the Nonprofit of the Year award at the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet.
Julie Lindholm, executive director said “It was a great honor to be recognized in this way, as it helps to bring additional awareness of our organization’s mission in helping cancer patients and survivors in our North Central Washington communities.”
The mission of Wellness Place is to give compassionate support and free resources to individuals, their families and caregivers through their cancer journey, from diagnosis to survivorship. Wellness Place helps anyone regardless of age or income, for all residing in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan counties.
This spring, Wellness Place is partnering with numerous community members to champion a number of fundraising events.
March 2020 - Together we are Stronger fundraiser
Now through the end of March, every tax-deductible donation you give to Wellness Place will help replenish our beautiful wigs, bringing hope and courage to North Central Washington's most vulnerable residents..our cancer patients. For every dollar you give to Wellness Place (through 3/31/20) Stevens Home Group and Dwell Mortgage-Team Christensen will match up to $1,000!
Seth Stevens, 20 year old entrepreneur and owner of Stevens Home Group, is partnering with Dwell Mortgage-Team Christensen to honor the memory of his mom, Tammy Stevens. Last year, Wellness Place was able to provide wigs at no cost to Tammy during her cancer journey. Tammy ultimately lost her battle with cancer, but her giving spirit has been passed on to her son, and he wishes to support the Wellness Place and the cancer patients we serve. To donate online, visit www.wellnessplacewenatchee.org or mail your donation to PO Box 1802, Wenatchee, WA 98807.
