What does the Wellness Place do? 

At Wellness Place, we give compassionate support and FREE resources to individuals, their families and caregivers through their cancer journey, from diagnosis to survivorship, for those residing in Chelan, Douglas, Grant and Okanogan counties. We are confidential, resourceful, and here to help!  

 

What services do you provide?

Wellness Place offers FREE support and services to cancer patients in treatment and survivors, such as those listed below. Please contact us for specific individual benefit information. 

For cancer patients in current treatment

  • Wigs - for women and/or men who lose their hair due to chemotherapy and radiation  

  • Lodging assistance - for those travelling far from home for treatments

  • Gas cards - to ease the costly burden of travel to and from treatments

  • Nutritional drinks - to supply nutrients when eating becomes too difficult due to nausea and pain  
     

For cancer patients and survivors, thrivors and warriors

  • Cancer support groups - to offer fellowship, encouragement, coping strategies, and comfort 

  • Restorative yin/yoga - for cancer warriors to build strength, learn relaxation, and assist in healing 

  • Educational classes - to provide essential health and wellness knowledge from cancer professionals

What is your service area?

We help cancer patients in treatment and survivors who reside in Chelan, Douglas, Okanogan, and Grant Counties.

 

Do I have to qualify to have services provided by you?

If you are in current treatment and need gas cards, lodging, wigs, or nutritional drinks, we will require a form completed by your medical professional(s) who are part of your cancer treatment program.  A new form will be required each year. Please call us at 509-888-9933 with any questions regarding the required form. 

 

Is there age restrictions?

We help anyone who could use our assistance – regardless of age or income.

What is your annual gala? 

Our Gala is our annual fundraising event which gives us the golden opportunity to celebrate our cancer warriors, volunteers, medical professionals and everyone invested in Wellness Place, and are impact in the community.  We would love to have you join in this wonderful evening!
